What does reaching our visions depend on?

Dreaming and thinking about the future are part of the toolkit we’re born with. The creativity with which we can imagine one or more solutions to a present situation carries an encouraging ingredient: it pushes us to look for resources where none seem to exist and keeps us moving forward in pursuit of our happiness and wellbeing.

The power of our imagination is so great, and at the same time so magical, that it’s like being in the desert with no water and suddenly finding a way to draw some out when everything suggests otherwise. Human beings have the gift of imagining and, with it, the strength and energy to fight to build what we imagine. We’re born with a unique potential to discover unique solutions.

Visions exist to inspire the present. They should be big and powerful enough to align purposes just by being read, let alone when we commit resources to achieving them. A vision holds traces of the legacy we want to leave. Visions are born to challenge us at the highest level of our abilities and at the very core of who we are.

Investing resources in fighting for our dreams should take us somewhere other than where we are today. One way to go through life with a high chance of success is to be inspired by a purpose, a mission, values and, above all, a clear vision of the future. We all have the power to create a vision that leaves a legacy, and we all have the resources to achieve it, trying again and again until we get there. What’s in our hands is simply to dream and to take responsibility for every step we need to take.
