How to Live with Gratitude – ElPropósito2 min de lectura

A good book to close the year, learn to give thanks for so much and live a grateful life

I’m writing these lines from a hospital waiting room, and it reminds me that the year is almost over and that this is a good time to look back at how many times I said thank you in 2018.

Among other things, keeping a journal gives me a space to write "I’m grateful for:", and there my imagination and my memory help me recall everything from the day before that made me grateful.

Gratitude is a habit we build day by day. In my experience it’s about noticing the small details that lift our heart and spirit and take us into another dimension, with new levels of satisfaction, wellbeing and happiness.

This week saw the launch of the book El legado de Thiago (Thiago’s Legacy), written by Luis Pedro Recinos, "Lupo" to his friends, a friend with whom I’ve shared many good moments. I couldn’t attend because my wife and I are going through very similar circumstances, which are also described in the book. Later on we’ll find the time to write in more detail about every moment of these last few days, for which, despite everything, I’m grateful.

In the meantime, the book leaves me with a very clear lesson: however great the adversity life brings, there’s always a way to be grateful. And every single day brings moments that invite us to give thanks.

Book I recommend this week:

What are you grateful for this year?

Have a great week,
