The everyday life of a person of real quality

What sets apart people who share and give more than they (supposedly) receive? I admire people who give without expecting anything back. It is a principle I have heard, seen and tried to live by since I was a boy, and I have always tried to surround myself with people who share it. When someone gives and shares, they reveal two core values and gifts: trust and charity. Trust that by giving they receive more, and charity, which shows their deep empathy for others and for the world. Generous people tend to be natural leaders, with a rare and powerful ability to build and nurture relationships that last a lifetime.

Sharing is how we show what lies deepest inside us. It is the finest thread of a person’s essence. It reveals their nobility and everything their words can’t say. When we share, we live the true essence of our human nature. The big question is: what can we share? We often forget that the greatest treasure we can give is our time and our attention. What many people need most is empathy and someone who will listen; more knowledge can wait. When we listen, we create a double bond. We nurture friendship and human connection, and we also make room for others to find new ways of seeing life, simply because they get to put into words something that turns out to be very powerful.

People who share their ideas build a special bond that often ends up answering their greatest challenges. Friendship is a central value in my life purpose ("to be the best father, husband and friend…"). Spending time with my friends may be the greatest expression of affection I can offer. Those are unique moments I wish could last forever. With my parents I share family love. With my wife and children I share the best quality time my mind and heart can give. With my friends I share the deepest bond of trust I can have, which gives us room to share all kinds of ideas, among many other things.

When you share, you gain twice as much. The happiest people I know are the ones who share the most. As I said, they are natural leaders with one or more rare gifts: they are humble, intelligent and sincere, and they look at life knowing there will always be a future for everyone, in abundance, or at least enough to live in peace and live well. People who share never worry. They know perfectly well that what they give today, expecting nothing in return, will soon come back many times over. How it comes back hardly matters. It simply does. What I share is my endless curiosity, and I only hope that whenever our paths cross, I can always give everything within my power to give.

I believe the greatest gift a person can give, besides their time and their listening, is to live in tune with their Life Purpose.

What more can I give?

Warm regards and all the best,

Rodrigo Baccaro
